A small team of engineers, clinicians and volunteers in Bengaluru who would rather ship something useful than talk about impact.
How this started
HCF was set up in 2022 in Bengaluru, out of a straightforward observation: the tools that would help people most are priced for people who need them least. A diagnostic model, a crop advisory, a mental-health companion — all of them exist, and all of them sit behind a subscription.
So we started building the free versions. And almost immediately ran into the limit of software: a family that has not eaten does not need an app. That is where the drives came from — meals, blankets, school supplies, handed over in person.
We have kept both halves ever since, run by the same people, out of the same budget. It is less efficient than specialising. It is also the only honest answer to what the people we work with actually need.

Our credibility rests on photographs of real distribution and registration numbers anyone can look up. Evidence outranks adjectives everywhere it can.

Software and physical relief are one mandate. We are not a tech company with a charity page, and not a charity with a side project.

Say the number, name the cost
Therapy costs ₹2,000 a session. Ten thousand Indian students take their own lives every year. Being specific and unflattering is how you earn trust that generalities cannot.
